This Garlic Aioli is creamy, tangy, and infused with layers of garlic flavor. I always get it with a side of fries at my local pub, but now I can make it at home! My choice of dippers was frozen French fries, but feel free to use onion rings, artichokes, or whatever. This sauce is also great on sandwiches and wraps.

    About This Recipe

Is it just me, or is half the fun of eating fries the sauce you dip them in? This garlic aioli is creamy, garlicky, and slightly tangy. It's the perfect accompaniment to fries or onion rings, and works equally well as a spread on sandwiches and wraps.

Last week I bought a big bag of frozen Fries, and so I was thinking of ways to use them up. Some ideas that came to mind were making poutine, Korean corn dogs (with a French fry crust), and eating them with some battered fish. But ultimately, I've decided to just air-fry them for a quick side dish this week (which, btw, is the best way to cook fries).

Sure, ketchup is great, but my favorite dip for fries is garlic aioli. And with only 6 ingredients, it's incredibly quick and easy to make. You can prepare it in less time than it takes to cook your fries!

    Key Ingredients

    ingredients prepped in bowls.

Mayonnaise: Forms the base of our aioli. I use Hellman's brand of mayonnaise.

Garlic: Freshly grated on a microplane or zester for the best results.

Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed is a must.

Seasonings: Salt, sugar, black pepper, and garlic powder. I love adding garlic powder in addition to the fresh garlic because it adds another layer of garlickiness. The flavor of garlic powder is much more nutty.

    Instructions

aioli ingredients mixed together in bowl.

STEP 1: Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk together. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days.
