Buffalo Chicken Dip is one of my favorite appetizers to bring to a party or potluck. It's cheesy, zesty, and super easy to make at home. I paired it with regular tortilla chips, carrot sticks, and celery sticks for dipping. Try this for your next Super Bowl party!

    About This Recipe

The Super Bowl is this weekend so I decided to make my favorite Buffalo Chicken Dip to bring to the party. I first learned this recipe way back in my college days when my friend used to make this for random potlucks. It's super easy to make. You just combine all the ingredients together and bake it until piping hot.

Buffalo chicken dip is perfect for parties, potlucks, game days, and basically whenever you want delicious finger food to share.

For this recipe, you need shredded chicken breasts. I grilled my own chicken breasts and then used my stand mixer to shred them. In case you didn't know, this is an amazing hack! It's super tedious to shred chicken using forks. You can just put chicken in a stand mixer and mix it with the paddle attachment.

    Key Ingredients

    required ingredients laid out.

Chicken breasts: As I said earlier, I grilled my own chicken breasts and then shredded them using my stand mixer with the paddle attachment. You can also use a rotisserie chicken if you have that.

Cream cheese: You'll need one 8-ounce package of cream cheese.

Ranch dressing: I highly recommend using the refrigerated kind or making it yourself. The shelf-stable is not nearly as good.

Buffalo Sauce: I used Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Sauce for wings.

Cheddar cheese: Of course, this would not be complete without a generous helping of cheddar cheese. You can also use mozzarella if you like.

    Instructions

    all ingredients arranged in bowl.

STEP 1: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.

chicken mixture spread into baking dish.

STEP 2: Pour the mixture into a 1.5-quart baking dish.

shredded cheese scattered on top of baking dish.

STEP 3: Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.

overhead shot of spoon lifting buffalo chicken out of baking dish.

STEP 4: Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sides are bubbling up. Enjoy! I served this with tortilla chips, carrots, and celery sticks. Also scattering some chopped parsley on top will make it look much better.

This is my go-to buffalo chicken dip recipe. For the best results, use the refrigerated ranch dressing instead of the shelf-stable one - it will taste much better!

This is the best version of this dip. The family including my pickiest eater requests this dip. Thank so much for sharing. I’m always making for football season.
