Here's how I make a classic Grilled Cheese! All you need is sourdough bread, lots of cheddar cheese, and butter. Grill for a couple of minutes on both sides until crispy on the outside and perfectly melted on the inside. The secret is covering the pan with a lid.

About This Recipe
Since I posted a tomato soup recipe, I thought I might as well post my grilled cheese recipe to go with it. You might be thinking "why the heck would you post a recipe for grilled cheese? Doesn't everyone know how to make that?!" Well, you'd be surprised how many people have never made one at home.
In fact, many simple foods that we are used to are completely new to others. For example, I went camping last year with my wife's friends, some of them were from the UK, and they were amazed when we brought out homemade Rice Krispies. They'd never had them before!
I grew up eating these every week of my childhood. And yet, these people had never had one. That made me realize that even though you grew up eating something, doesn't mean others have. So, today, I'm going to show you how to make a grilled cheese!
Instructions

STEP 1: Spread butter on both sides of your bread.

STEP 2: Preheat a pan over medium-low heat. Place the buttered side down and place your cheese on top (I used shredded cheddar cheese, feel free to use whatever you have, and it doesn't have to be cheddar either).

STEP 3: Place the other piece of bread on top and cover with a lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.

STEP 4: Flip, cover with the lid, and continue cooking for 2 minutes. At this point, the cheese should be melted and the outside should be perfectly golden brown. Enjoy!
