About This Recipe
After sitting down at the dinner table and consuming what I thought was one cheeseburger slider, I realized that already 4 sliders were gone. The takeaway: keep sliders on your kitchen counter, not directly in front of you, because they're too easy to inhale.
Jokes aside...these sliders are so freaking good. I used to work at a fast-food burger place where I made at least 200 burgers a night. My recipe is heavily based on how I made them there. For example, I follow the 2:2:1 rule for condiments. I apply 2 parts mayo, 2 parts ketchup, and 1 part mustard. And yes... onions and pickles are mandatory.
My only mistake for this recipe was using long, thin pickles instead of pickle rounds. I only realized it wouldn't work when I pulled a slider off the main batch, and a long pickle came out with it. I ended up having to cut each slider off with a knife so the pickle would stay in place. If you make this recipe, use round pickle slices!
Key Ingredients

Hawaiian rolls: The OG Hawaiian rolls from the red bag are super soft and fluffy. You can also use regular, store-bought dinner rolls.
Lean ground beef: You'll need 1 pound.
Onion: Try to cut these as finely as possible so they blend in with the beef.
Seasonings: Salt, black pepper, and garlic powder
Condiments: I spread on mayo, ketchup, and mustard, so it's like a classic cheeseburger.
Dill pickles: Please disregard my picture above and use round pickle slices instead of the long ones.
Cheddar cheese: I find 6 slices are needed to cover the entire batch of sliders. Of course, you can use more if you like it extra cheesy.
Melted butter and sesame seeds: For garnishing the top of the buns.
Instructions

STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 350℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves, cut-side up, on the pan.

STEP 2: Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and onions. Cook for 5-6 minutes until no longer pink. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from the heat.

STEP 3: Spread desired condiments on the buns. Important: Disregard my picture above. Use round pickle slices and place one pickle slice in the center of each bun.

STEP 4: Spoon the ground beef all over, layer on the cheese, then place the top buns over top.

STEP 5: Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle on sesame seeds. Bake for 12-13 minutes until the cheese is melted.
