In a small pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the tom yum paste and cook it for 30-45 seconds until the oil turns red.
Add 2 cups of water, coconut milk, and the seasoning packets from the ramen package. Bring to a boil.
If you are not adding any additional toppings, then you can add the ramen noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes. But if you are adding additional toppings like an egg or pea tips, add them before cooking the ramen noodles.
