Easy Pico De Gallo

This simple pico de gallo is easy to make and full of zesty flavor. I used Roma tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro. For less heat, you can remove the jalapeno entirely.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 medium Roma tomatoes (diced)
  • ½ medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper (seeded, piths removed, and finely chopped)
  • ½ cup cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice from 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place the diced tomatoes in a strainer and let them sit for 5 minutes to drain off excess liquid. Discard the liquid.
  • Add the tomatoes to a medium bowl along with the rest of the ingredients. Toss to combine.
  • Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until needed.
