Baked Barbecue Chicken Thighs

My oven-baked barbecue chicken thighs are about to go on your regular dinner rotation! They're easy, delicious, and pair well with a variety of sides.

  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken thighs, salt, black pepper, and ½ cup of barbecue sauce. Cover and let it rest in the fridge for at least 40 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  • When you're ready to cook, preheat your oven to broil and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Position the rack so your chicken will be 4-5 inches from the heating element.
  • Spread the chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Broil for 7 minutes on the first side, then remove from the oven and turn the pieces over. Brush with more barbecue sauce and broil for another 7 minutes.
  • Turn the pieces again and brush with the remaining barbecue sauce. Broil for 4-5 minutes, until the sauce is charred and the chicken is cooked through.
