Easy Homemade Biscuits

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter, then transfer to the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pour the milk into the flour-butter mixture and mix until JUST combined- avoid over mixing. The dough will be very sticky.
  • Turn the dough onto a generously floured surface, and sprinkle more flour on top.
  • Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to an 8x5-inch rectangle, approximately ¾ inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into circles and transfer to the baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.
