These classic brownies are fudgy, chocolate-y, and so easy to make! This is a recipe passed down to me from my friend's mom. They're seriously the best brownies I've ever had.
Preheat your oven to 325°F. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Line with parchment paper and spray the parchment with more cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, salt, and baking powder.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract.
Pour the dry ingredients over the wet mix and stir until just combined.
Scrape the batter into your prepared dish and smooth out the top. Bake for 40-48 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with just a few crumbs.
Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
