This Chicken Parmesan is a classic Italian-American recipe. Made of chicken cutlets, marinara sauce, and melty mozzarella cheese, it's crispy, cheesy, saucy, and super comforting. Easy to make in under 45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise to make 4 thinner pieces.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, flour, salt, and black pepper.
In a separate dish, combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
Dredge the chicken in the egg wash and shake off excess. Transfer into the breadcrumb mixture and coat thoroughly, ensuring no bald spots.
Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Spread half of the marinara sauce in a 9×13 baking dish. Lay the chicken in a single layer over the sauce, then spoon the remaining marinara over the top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until the cheese melts and the sauce is bubbling. Enjoy!
