Bisquick Crepes

Making crepes with Bisquick mix is extremely easy. They have a little more bubbles than regular crepes (because of the baking powder) but they still taste like crepes. I will use this hack every time now.

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth. Let it rest inside the blender for at least one hour at room temperature or overnight in the fridge.
  • Heat a cast-iron pan* over medium heat until it is medium hot. Then grease the pan with a little oil and a paper towel.
  • Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan and quickly swirl it around until it is paper thin. Cook for 1 minute, or until the top is dried out, then flip and cook the other side until it is golden brown. Transfer to a plate. Regrease the pan and repeat.

Notes

*My favorite pan for making crepes is a cast-iron pan. Mainly because it is very flat (many nonstick pans are warped) and also cause it retains heat very well so you get a nice brown color fast. One thing to keep in mind is the handle gets very hot so make sure you use oven mitts when you swirl the pan.
